
Project Engineer (Electrical)
Job Description:
The Project Engineer (Electrical) is responsible for overseeing the successful execution of electrical projects, managing both technical and commercial aspects. This role involves liaising with customers, vendors, and field staff to ensure that project requirements are met while ensuring the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems are completed to the highest standards. The Project Engineer ensures all work is done according to specifications, within budget, and on schedule while maintaining safety and quality.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses to assess project viability.
- Design electrical systems and components.
- Prepare technical specifications and drawings.
- Oversee the installation, testing, and commissioning of electrical systems.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and industry regulations.
- Manage project budgets, resources, and schedules.
- Communicate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
- Provide technical support and guidance to project teams.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical work.
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification.
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems and components.
- Experience with AutoCAD or similar design software and a solid understanding of technical drawings.
- Excellent project management skills, including experience with scheduling and budgeting.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and teams.
- Knowledge of relevant industry standards and regulations.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical challenges.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
