System Design Engineer (R&D / Mechanical / Mechatronics)
Responsibilities:
Mechanical design engineer will be working with a team of system, optical, mechanical, electrical, and software engineers to develop and sustain state of the art wafer metrology and inspection products.
- development of subassemblies, covering the complete design process from specification development, feasibility studies, analysis and FEA modeling,
- conceptual and detailed design using SolidWorks, detail drawings,
- procurement of prototype parts,
- prototype testing,
- system integration,
- OMS and manufacturing test procedure drafting, ECO and BOM release.
- Training to manufacturing and supplier.
A particular focus of this position will be analytical and experimental validation, optimization of challenging mechanisms and mechanical system designs.
Requirements:
- Bachelor or master’s degrees in mechatronics, mechanical, robotics, or precision engineering with minimum 5 years industry experience in semiconductor machine design and development.
- Hands on experience in mechatronics design, analysis, drafting, procurement of prototype parts, system integration, test and troubleshooting.
- Strong in mechanical engineering fundamentals, including design principles, machine elements, materials, and fabrication methods;
- Hands on experience in design release process, including OMS and manufacturing test procedure drafting, ECO and BOM release.
- Experience in working with contract manufacturer to resolve technical problems.
- Strong analytical problem-solving skills in the structural, dynamic, thermal and fluid domains, and involving both first order calculations as well as FEA methods.
- Skilled at hands-on lab tests, automated data acquisition, and data analysis.
- Experience with 3D CAD, SolidWorks and/or ProE.
