Job Responsibilities

Grant Management

  • Coordination of internal grant review meeting for External funding grant calls
  • To collate and conduct completeness check and ensure that the application and/or progress report submission is submitted by the stipulated deadline.
  • Ensure compliance to reporting requirements post project award
  • Assist Principal Investigators in budget planning, providing guidance on cash flow projection and budget utilization in consultation with HR and finance for budget utilization and manpower contract expiry
  • Processing post award requests (extension, variation, change in scope, progress, final reports etc) in compliance with funding body requirements.
  • Dissemination of grants call and facilitating submission to various funding bodies within stipulated timeline.
  • Establish clear written policies and SOPs on grant management

Budgeting

  • Tabulation of commercial/academic/grant budgets as per the research protocol and aligning with institution policy in consultation with PIs, HR, finance and other relevant departments and/or institutions
  • Liaising with external companies and other institutions' research offices for budget negotiation
  • Establish clear written policies and SOPs on budgeting

Financial report

  • Preparation of financial reports in terms of budget utilization and projections for research projects
  • Work with finance in the preparation of financial reports in terms of budget utilization and projections for management’s review

Meeting Secretariat

  • Assist in serving as secretariat for SERI Research Heads meeting
  • Ensure timely reminder of RH meetings and preparation of meeting min and meeting agenda.
  • Follow up of post meeting action items, if any

General Administration and Ad Hoc Duties

  • Tabulation of research data as requested by senior management
  • Providing support and facilitate submission of programme level research space application and the associated progress reports to SingHealth and other adhoc submissions to SingHealth (Eureka, GYSS etc) as requested by HOD/management

Job Requirements

  • Degree holder with at least 4 years of administrative / grant management
  • A self-driven, proactive and meticulous individual who possesses good interpersonal skills to work in a team-based environment.
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills
  • A good team player with a keen eye for aesthetics and details
  • PC literacy in MS Words, Powerpoint, Excel

Note: Eventual package offered will be commensurate with qualifications and experience.
