A Peerpoint Global Operations Manager (Asia Pacific) is a critical role that sits at the juncture of the Peerpoint team and the firm's business services teams to drive timely consultant onboarding, efficient placement operations with clients, robust financial management & commercials, compliance and ongoing operational process improvement. Globally reporting to Peerpoint's Global Head of Operation, based in London, and regionally reporting to the Head of Peerpoint for Asia Pacific, this is a dynamic and diverse role, responsible for a wide range of activities and relationships, both internally within the Peerpoint team and the broader Firm and externally with clients and consultants.Role and responsibilities (multi market - Singapore, Hong Kong & Australia)
Peerpoint consultant panel membership
  • Lead on all consultant onboarding activities, including panel membership set up, visa arrangements, pre-hire screening, local market regulatory compliance, and AOS policy compliance and mandatory training requirements
  • Manage the production and execution of consultant paperwork in the consultant onboarding and offboarding phases
  • Maintain relevant new joiner trackers and assist with ad hoc queries
Operational placement support
  • Liaise with the Peerpoint Global Contracts lead to manage the production and execution of all client and consultant engagement paperwork, including any negotiation of contract terms
  • Coordinate client onboarding and placement logistics for both the client and the Peerpoint lawyer at the point a new assignment is contracted on for a lawyer and client
  • Liaise with relevant Peerpoint teams and other A&O groups (including HR, Finance, IT Systems, and secretarial groups) to ensure smooth commencement of assignments
  • Manage timesheet systems and payment arrangements, according to the Peerpoint lawyers' engagement terms
  • Advise on regulatory considerations of cross-border or other complex placement arrangements, working with A&O's Risk, Finance, Tax and Legal functions as appropriate
Commercial and financial management
  • Monitor Peerpoint lawyer timesheets, review and check invoices, oversee timely completion of accounts payable and payroll records, record and instruct Payroll and Finance teams on payments and salaries
  • Lead month end preparation, client billing processes, issuance of instructions to the Billing team and follow up on outstanding bills
  • Maintain invoice, payroll and timesheet trackers and assist with ad hoc queries
Compliance
  • Monitor legal and regulatory developments impacting the structure of Peerpoint's engagements with consultants and, where necessary, balancing risks with proposed mitigations
  • Manage all other matters related to law society and local market regulatory compliance
Projects and Team Support
  • Assume lead roles in operational improvement projects and documentation of new processes to support Peerpoint's global growth agenda
  • Actively share learnings and best practice with Operations colleagues in other Peerpoint markets
Key requirements
  • A high level of numeracy and very strong attention to detail
  • Excellent organizational skills, able to run processes to meet deadlines, prioritize and judge when to escalate
  • Strong written skills, able to draft formal documents (using standard templates and with guidance)
  • Process minded and confident to work with new technologies and systems, but also with the ability to think on your feet and flex processes and working approaches to adapt to exceptions as they arise
  • Strong communication skills, which will be called upon through interactions with a range of stakeholders, clients, consultants third parties suppliers, Peerpoint and AOS colleagues
  • A pragmatic, proactive, self-possessed, delivery-focused approach, whilst able to spot opportunities for improvement
  • Experience in business operations in a professional or financial services environment
