Job Description & Requirements

  • Working Location – Jurong Island or Pulau Bukom or where projects required
  • Working hours – Monday to Saturday, 0800 to 1700hours
  • Qualification – Min degree in Civil Engineering Disciplines
  • Preferred 2 to 3 years working experience in Civil Engineering Industries – Oil and Petrochemical
  • Act as the main QAQC adviser on the project site for subcontractors, craftspeople and operatives
  • Prepare and plan QAQC procedures and documents for the project/ works
  • Attend to and prepare for any quality inspection required for the works
  • Formulate and implement a quality assurance program for the worksite including but not limited to training, assessment and implementation to ensure quality works on site
  • Maintain, formulate and follow through with a quality assurance system and follow through with the audit requirements
  • Advise and monitor the operation team for quality execution of the works on-site
  • Liaise with Clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors/ vendors with regards to quality execution and planning of the works
  • Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws concerning quality
  • Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of quality aspects of the works
  • Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site supervisory crew, labour force and the work of any subcontractors to ensure quality execution of the works
  • Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site;
  • Preparing reports as required;
  • Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.
  • Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging construction practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
  • Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents/ drawings supplied by the client, architect or consultant;
  • Enhances organization's reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
  • Upholding the Company’s work ethics and proper display of representation to Clients/Vendors/Subcon
