We are seeking a motivated Innovation Engineer Intern to join our team and support the development of cutting-edge, immersive prototypes and products. As an intern at Trinax, you will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience with hardware components like sensors, motors, and LED strips while contributing to the design, testing, and troubleshooting of various projects. You will work directly with our Creative Technologist and Chief Innovation & Technology Officer, assisting in developing functional prototypes and bringing creative concepts to life.
This internship provides an excellent opportunity to learn from industry experts, collaborate on high-impact projects, and develop practical engineering skills in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the design and development of mechanical prototypes using various electrical and electronic components (e.g., sensors, motors, LED strips).
- Collaborate with senior engineers and creative technologists to create innovative, functional prototypes that merge creativity and technology.
- Help with the creation of schematic diagrams, technical drawings, and CAD designs for prototypes and products.
- Assist in the testing and troubleshooting of prototypes, ensuring technical feasibility, reliability, and efficiency.
- Conduct research to identify suitable materials, components, and processes for product development.
- Support external vendors in sourcing components or fabricating necessary parts for prototypes.
- Work on internal projects and contribute to ongoing commercial projects and new project proposals.
- Learn about 3D printing applications and how to use it for prototyping.
Requirements:
- Currently pursuing a degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
- Basic hands-on experience with Arduino and various electrical/electronic components (e.g., sensors, motors, LED strips).
- Familiarity with CAD software to create schematic diagrams and technical drawings.
- Strong interest in prototyping, product development, and engineering innovation.
- Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment and communicate with multiple teams.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset and eagerness to learn.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Knowledge of 3D printing technology is a plus.
