What the role is:You will provide effective safety oversight and monitor the safety performance of the Air Navigation Service Provider (ANSP) in the provision of Communications, Navigation, Surveillance (CNS) and Air Traffic Management systems (ATM), and thus contribute directly towards AAR Division's objective to provide safety oversight on the provision of air navigation services in Singapore and indirectly to the growth of Singapore as an air hub.What you will be working on:You are expected to provide effective safety oversight on the provision of CNS in accordance with national regulations, ICAO standards and guidance materials. You will develop and maintain the national regulations in the areas of CNS to ensure alignment with ICAO SARPs (Standards And Recommended Practices), check on and follow up on the ANSP compliance of national regulations in the areas of CNS through a comprehensive safety oversight programme, and identify areas where the ANSP can further enhance its safety performance through the conduct of investigations and review of their operations. You will be expected to conduct regular dialogues with the ANSP, establish arrangements to be kept up to date on their planned changes and keep pace with international best practices.What we are looking for:
  • Candidates with experience as an engineer in the aviation sector is preferred. Candidates with relevant experience in other sectors may also apply.

  • Analytical mind with an eye for details.
  • Strong ability to communicate clearly in both verbal and in written form, to represent and drive the goals and interests on behalf of CAAS, AAR and the section as necessary, in both internal and external engagements / partnerships.
  • Work in a dynamic and impactful role that contributes to aviation safety.
  • Self-motivated, driven and assertive to drive initiatives and projects and maintain the goal-orientation and steady progress of these efforts and take responsibility for outcomes.
Your appointment designation will be commensurate with your relevant work experience.
