We are seeking for an experienced and dynamic commercial head to manage one of the retail business. This role will be overseeing and leading all commercial aspect of the retail business, across strategy development, marketing initiatives, sales management, customer relations and satisfaction to increase market shares, professional and operational excellence as well as key projects to meet and overachieve company goals. You would required to provide innovative and sounds solutions with strong business acumen, strategic agility and strong leadership skills in managing the total business.
Key areas of responsibilities, including:
- Build up and implement the commercial strategy for the retail business according to company goals.
- Motivate, lead and manage the team to achieve business targets and ensure growth of profits. Develop the strategies and plans to ensure everyone achieve respective targets.
- Manage current business while identify new business opportunities and all possible channels to uplift the commercial performance.
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholder to ensure special projects and initiatives are well planned for the retail business, from the start till implementation and maximizing the effectiveness and efficiency for the retail team.
- Ensure timeline of projects to meet desired results.
- Manage budget and maximizing commercial performance, present business review including results and forecast.
- Identify risk and mitigation plans with change management. To ensure all the projects are aligned with regulatory and corporate expectations.
- To upskills the team who are providing professional services in stores, ensuring their consultancy, product knowledge and service excellence.
- Understand the market landscape of the industry, monitor competitors strategies and activities, adjust the commercial strategies by product offerings, promotions and any other initiatives.
- Ensure the business operates in compliance with industry standards, regulations and law governing the respective retail business.
Key Requirements:
- Minimum Degree holder in business/ related studies with minimum 8 experience in commercial functions and 5yrs in leadership role.
- Experience working in a matrix environment or MNC. Direct experience in managing retail business would be highly preferred.
- Strong business acumen agile in identifying best solutions for complex topics/ projects.
- Strong leadership skills and influencing power to lead and run the business.
