What the role is:You oversee, plan and ensure system readiness, performance, resiliency and system refresh for Operations Support Information Technology (OSIT) systems, networks and services. These OSIT networks, systems and services provide communication and business requirements for MINDEF/SAF local and overseas users to process and exchange information and data.What you will be working on:- Work closely with DSTA System Managers (SMs) and System Management Office (SMO) - Ensure efficient engineering support for technology upgrades, refresh and troubleshooting while ensuring policy compliance and proper governance - Work closely with representatives from various stakeholders such as first-line monitoring and fault rectification teams, as well as cybersecurity agencies to response and troubleshoot systemic technical issues experienced by users and carry out system upgrades and refresh to ensure a high level of system availability and user satisfaction Challenges - Having good knowledge of various technology stack in current production environment and indigenous IT infra components and services, in order to ensure that the managed OSIT systems and services meet user requirementsWhat we are looking for:- Education in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM) or related professional qualifications - At least 8 years of experience as Assistant Director (or equivalent) in technical/engineering setting - Strong technical background in IT infrastructure and services - Leadership traits - Good communication skills - Organisational acumen - Multi-tasking capabilities - Stakeholder engagement abilities - Fast-paced work adaptability Only shortlisted candidates will be notified.About MINDEF:The mission of MINDEF and the Singapore Armed Forces is to enhance Singapore's peace and security through deterrence and diplomacy, and should these fail, to secure a swift and decisive victory over the aggressor.
