Responsibilities:

  • Set up and clean baking equipment, tools, and workstations for daily production
  • Prepare ingredients for baking pastries
  • Ensure that baked goods are produced in sufficient quantities based on demand
  • Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality
  • Maintain high standards of product quality by ensuring the consistency, taste, and presentation of baked items
  • Inspect the freshness and appearance of baked goods to ensure they meet established quality standards
  • Monitor ingredient inventory and ensure that supplies are ordered and stocked in a timely manner
  • Keep track of stock levels to minimize waste and avoid shortages
  • Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, following health and safety regulations
  • Ensure all baking processes adhere to health, safety, and food handling regulations
  • Plan and organize the baking schedule to ensure timely production and minimize downtime
  • Coordinate with other team members to meet deadlines, especially during busy periods
  • Assist with ad hoc duties as and when required

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in the baking or food production industry
  • Able to work rotating shifts
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Diploma/certificate in a bakery-related field
  • Able to work in fast-paced environments and meet production deadlines
