Responsibilities:
- Set up and clean baking equipment, tools, and workstations for daily production
- Prepare ingredients for baking pastries
- Ensure that baked goods are produced in sufficient quantities based on demand
- Monitor baking times and temperatures to ensure optimal product quality
- Maintain high standards of product quality by ensuring the consistency, taste, and presentation of baked items
- Inspect the freshness and appearance of baked goods to ensure they meet established quality standards
- Monitor ingredient inventory and ensure that supplies are ordered and stocked in a timely manner
- Keep track of stock levels to minimize waste and avoid shortages
- Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen environment, following health and safety regulations
- Ensure all baking processes adhere to health, safety, and food handling regulations
- Plan and organize the baking schedule to ensure timely production and minimize downtime
- Coordinate with other team members to meet deadlines, especially during busy periods
- Assist with ad hoc duties as and when required
Requirements:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of relevant experience in the baking or food production industry
- Able to work rotating shifts
- Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills
- Diploma/certificate in a bakery-related field
- Able to work in fast-paced environments and meet production deadlines
