Operational Controller Finance (6 months Contract)
Lead all aspects of local controlling and accounting in the local market. Coordinate activities between Operational Controlling, Revenue Controlling and Business Finance. Perform local accounting activities specific to the respective market. Maintain and monitor the local core finance processes.
Responsibilities:
- Manage local controllership function and oversee & guide FinOps as necessary (P2P, R2R, Tax, Audit, Fixed asset)
- Ensure adequate performance and reporting on the following by leveraging offshore resources:
- US-GAAP accounting/closing, accruals, and account reconciliations
- Financial closing and consolidation
- Procure-to-pay functions (payment proposal prepared by FinOps)
- Intercompany payments
- Review monthly closing reports, quarterly and year-end reporting packs prepared by FinOps
- Act as the main point of contact for all banking related activities with HSBC/DBS/NIQ treasury team, including payroll payment approval in HSBCnet
- Manage the statutory, tax accounting and audit processes by coordinating with the respective FinOps team
- Cashflow planning
- Other admin tasks
- Filing of hard copy documents
- Fixed asset tagging
- Corp pass user management
- Signing forms for offboarding associates
- Any other adhoc duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Degree in Finance or Accounting
- Local or international Accounting qualification (CA, ACCA, ACMA, or other)
- Fluency in English
- Minimum 2-5 years relevant professional experience as finance controller/Finance Manager in a medium to large international company
- Knowledge and experience with local statutory requirements and statutory audits (Local GAAP, statutory financial statements, tax calculations, VAT returns)
- Experience in preparation of Financial Statements
- Experience with ERP systems (preferably SAP)
- IT-PC literate (Microsoft Office)
- Strong communication skills, team player, leadership traits
