Established in 2010, the Energy Research Institute @ NTU (ERI@N) is a pan-university research institute that focuses on systems-level research for tropical megacities. Th focus of the project is battery materials synthesis, fabrication, recycling and project management.Key Responsibilities:Synthesis and characterization of advanced battery materials and fabrication.Scoping studies on next generation batteries, recycling of lithium- ion batteries and circular economy potential in SingaporeExperimental techniques for upcycling materialsSynthesis and characterization of battery materials and fabrication. Precipitation, characterization and purity analysis of products by various characterization techniquesCarry out optimization of the equipment and SOP of various processes for batteriesPrototyping activities including proof of concept demonstration of successful processesResponsible for project goals, deliverables, and objectives of the company projectPreparing and delivering meeting presentations, notes, updates, and reports as per the request of the projectJob Requirements:Possess at least a Doctoral degree in Materials Science/Engineering or related disciplines.Experience in working on battery systems, fuel cell systems, Recycling or equivalentSynthesis of new cathode and anode materials for batteriesWide knowledge of different synthesis methodology for various materialsExpertise in materials characterization techniques including ICP-OES, XRD, SEM, TEM, spectroscopic techniques,Knowledge of electrochemical studies, including such as electrodialysis, electrodeposition, galvanostatic, potentiostatic, impedance techniquesAn effective team player with good communication & interpersonal skillsAbility to work in a team as well as independently without supervisionAble to work under pressure and meet tight deadlinesGood interpersonal skills.Good communication and writing in English for research purposesStrong responsibility for research / workWe regret to inform that only shortlisted candidates will be notified.Hiring Institution: NTU
