
Senior / Asst Manager, Allied Health Admin (Hospital, Queenstown) #HRY
The incumbent will be responsible to provide operational and administrative support for assigned allied health department(s) to achieve expected outcomes in various areas; patient’s service experience, meeting financial targets set, project management, on-the-ground troubleshooting and risk and business continuity management. Incumbent may also be assigned reportee to develop his or her leadership capabilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities and Duties (80%)
- Responsible for daily operations of assigned allied health departments, including front counter services, partnering Allied Health Leads and all other staff working within the department to solve system and process problems.
- Ensure systems and processes are in accordance with HAP/SOP/Work Instructions and periodic reviews and updates of relevant documents.
- Manage annual financial budgeting and periodic reviews of expenditures to achieve financial prudency for assigned allied health department.
- Manage all procurement needs for assigned allied health department
- Monitors utilisation rates of services and drives initiatives to improve utilisation of resources.
- Manage risk and audit matters for assigned allied health departments
- Track, monitor and make recommendations to department KPIs and quality indicators for continuous improvements of services delivered for assigned department
- Work with Allied Health Leads for annual planning and submission of workplans and MOH licensing submission for new and expansion of allied health services.
- Coordinate and resolve IT Risk assessments, commissioning of biomedical equipment and upkeeping assets register of assigned department.
- Participate in department’s medical planning activities paving our way to future campus.
Secondary Responsibilities and Duties (20%)
- Reporting Officer role for incumbent with high leadership potential.
- Participate in organisation initiatives (i.e. G.R.O.S.S, Go-Green efforts)
- Provide business case analytics for new innovations as part of Value Driven Outcomes concept to drive value-based transformation in allied health services.
- Work with other stakeholders on special projects, workgroups and/or committees for any new initiatives or process improvements.
- Any other duties assigned by Reporting Officer.
Job Requirements
- At least 2 years of operational and administrative experiences within hospital setting
- Proficient in EPIC/Microsoft/SAP/Ariba system will be advantageous
- Excellent team player and effective communication skills
- Problem-solving skills and critical thinking ability
