Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and maintain the performance of M&E systems, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring operational efficiency and safety.
  • Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance on building systems and equipment to ensure optimal performance and identify potential issues before they escalate.
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve any issues related to M&E systems.
  • Coordinate with contractors and vendors to carry out repairs, upgrades, and maintenance tasks, ensuring work is performed on time, within budget, and in compliance with health and safety standards.
  • Assist in the design and installation of new M&E systems for building projects or renovations.
  • Ensure that all building systems comply with relevant regulations and industry standards, including local building codes, health and safety regulations, and environmental policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance activities, repairs, and system performance.

Requirements:

  • Higher NITEC/Diploma or professional certification in Facilities Management, Building Services, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in M&E engineering, particularly within facilities management or related industries.
  • Strong technical proficiency in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, with a specific focus on optimising building system performance and ensuring their reliability.
  • Expertise in diagnosing, troubleshooting, and effectively resolving issues related to M&E systems to maintain operational efficiency and safety.
  • Experience with Building Management Systems (BMS) and other facility management software, including the ability to utilise these tools for monitoring, analysis, and reporting.
  • Knowledge of energy management practices and sustainability initiatives in building services is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with team members, contractors, and stakeholders.
  • Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
