What the role is:Reporting to the Deputy Director, you will lead the Strategy or Planning team to drive high/wide impact processes to develop organisation-wide strategies and to drive corporate planning as well as ensure alignment and coordination within WSG and with MOM.What you will be working on:Responsibilities:Collaborate with WSG divisions in developing and reviewing WSG's 3-5-year workplans and annual workplans. Identify short- and medium-term strategic directions to shape WSG's corporate goals and prioritiesMonitor and review WSG's corporate performance for regular reporting to WSG Board and senior managementDevelop, monitor and review enterprise risk management and ensure alignment to strategic goalsConduct change management sessions with WSG divisions in keeping with WSG's strategic priorities, as neededAssess international relations requests with reference to WSG's strategic prioritiesAssess requests from Ministries and other agencies as well as parliamentary queries, and co-ordinate WSG's response across WSG divisionsPerform secretariat duties for inter-agency meetings, such as the National Jobs Council Working Group, WSG Board and key management meetings including ministerial level meetingsConceptualise and organise WSG Board or senior management retreatsWhat we are looking for:Requirements:At least 5 years of public sector experience, preferably in relevant fields such as planning or policy.Knowledge/SkillsPossess good communication, writing and presentation skillsPossess strong analytical, critical thinking and sense-making skillsPossess basic understanding of labour market conceptsPossess good coordination, multi-tasking and time management skillsPossess strong skills in Microsoft OfficeSupervisory experience and an understanding of corporate planning and management will be advantageousAptitudes/AbilitiesAble to grasp concepts quickly and integrate broad spectrum of information into a coherent frameworkStrong interpersonal skills to engage external and internal stakeholders for collaborationPerceptive and able to problem-solve and work independentlyResourceful, responsive, and pro-active in managing work assignmentsAll applicants will be notified on whether they are shortlisted or not within 4 weeks of the closing date of this job posting.About Workforce Singapore:Workforce Singapore (WSG) is a statutory board under the Ministry of Manpower (MOM).
