Job Summary

Gategroup is a market-leading airline catering and food solutions group providing superior culinary and retail services with continuing innovation and advanced technology solutions. It is pursuing a robust and balanced growth strategy with focus in new markets and sectors. To shape and execute on this growth strategy, the Senior Analyst/Manager, Business Development team is responsible to shape and execute this strategy at its APAC Regional Headquarters in Singapore. This position reports to the Managing Director, Business Development Aviation/Food Solutions, APAC. Other than the APAC Regional Office in Singapore.

This stimulating job in a competent and dedicated team offers extensive exposure to the senior management within the group or the potential acquisition targets and business partners, as well as interactions with a variety of internal and external functions (tax, treasury, legal, banks etc.).

Main Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Project management on strategic projects as instructed (mainly in the field of M&A, Joint Ventures, strategy and business development)
  • Lead and coordinate M&A projects from the launch of the initial proposal to the integration review, including performing thorough market analysis, business case building, modeling and valuation, preparation of negotiations and contracts, presentations to executive management
  • Conduct research on industry, company, potential partners and competitor profiles
  • Close cooperation with the business units and various functions to ensure business development and operational success
  • Preparation of weekly/monthly/quarterly reports and work on ad-hoc request for the Managing Director, Business Development Aviation/Food Solutions
  • May be requested to travel internationally at short notice.

Qualifications

Education:

  • University degree (in business, accounting, banking, finance or similar) or higher
  • CFA/CPA (or equivalent) would strength the application but is not required.

Work Experience:

  • Min. 3-5 years working experience in Asia in consulting, M&A, finance, business development or similar
  • Proficient with financial modelling, valuation, due diligence and good knowledge of M&A process, transaction documentations and project management
  • Experience in catering, hospitality or travel logistics industries is a plus

Job Skills:

  • A business project manager with sharp analytical mind with strong financial acumen able to understand as much the strategic rationale as the operational details of projects and to transform this rapidly into comprehensive and complex financial models;
  • A person with the highest integrity and able to illustrate his or her dedication to a service-oriented culture with a strong team-spirit, their aspiration to quality as their ability to deliver under pressure in a complex, sometimes ambiguous, international, multi-stakeholder environment.

Language / Communication Skills:

  • Ability to interact and work collaboratively with people of different levels and cultural backgrounds
  • Fluent in English. Any other languages such as Mandarin or an Asian language will be a plus
  • Strong drive, flexibility, tact and sensitivity to management and partners needs and expectations
