Responsibilities

The Director of Research and Advisory will play a pivotal role in strengthening ACCESS Health’s presence in Singapore and the broader Southeast Asia region. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Technical Leadership & Team Development:

  • Serve as a technical expert in public health-related projects, including research, capacity building, technical advice, technical support, and advocacy.
  • Provide leadership to advisory teams and independently manage projects alongside other senior colleagues.
  • Build expertise and capacity within the Singapore team.
  • Provide thought leadership in health systems strengthening and policy transformation.
  • Drive marketing and communications efforts to enhance visibility and outreach.

Growth & Advisory Services:

  • Lead the expansion of ACCESS Health’s advisory practice in Singapore with a regional focus.
  • Develop proposals and secure advisory assignments that contribute to expertise-building and financial sustainability.
  • Oversee project management, ensuring alignment with scope, client expectations, and quality standards.

Strategic Leadership & Representation:

  • Represent ACCESS Health Singapore in external engagements with stakeholders across industry, government, and academia.
  • Strengthen the organization’s positioning and influence in Singapore and the Southeast Asia region.
  • Engage with key strategic stakeholders to expand our impact.
  • Present ACCESS Health’s work at symposia and conferences.

Qualifications

  • MBA in health management or a related discipline preferred. Relevant qualification in general administration required
  • 8-10 years of experience in public health-related projects is required, experience in health financing and digital health is highly desirable, as these are key focus areas for future growth

Skills and competencies

  • Strong technical credentials in public health, with experience in research, capacity building, and advisory work.
  • Expertise in health financing and digital health (preferred).
  • A strong understanding of the health and development sector in the region.
  • Demonstrated experience with client management, with a keen sense of diplomacy and
  • sensitivity to cross-cultural contexts.
  • Excellent interpersonal and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to multi-task and work collaboratively in a dynamic environment.
  • A passion for mission-driven work that shapes the future of healthcare.

Nature of employment

The selected candidate shall be offered a three-year contract, with possibility of extension, based on continued availability of funding and performance.
