As a Systems Engineer at Kulicke & Soffa, you will work in a multidisciplinary engineering team to develop and sustain high precision semiconductor assembly and packaging equipment.

The Systems Engineer works holistically as the interface of different engineering disciplines and customers to offer unique perspective and solution. You will play a key role to integrate complex systems of mechatronics, optics, and software. You would enjoy solving problems creatively through experimentation and data analysis.

Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret test data to provide rigorous technical assessment to support the development of equipment.
  • Develop experiment and test plan to validate system performance.
  • Work in a multidisciplinary team to provide critical review of system design and recommend improvements.
  • Translate customer requirements into system, sub-system specifications and software feature specifications.
  • Prepare and present internal technical reports and customer presentations.

Qualifications:

  • PhD in Engineering field (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) or Physical science; OR Master/bachelor’s degree with minimum 5 years of working experience in relevant field.
  • Exceptional data analysis skills using tools such as MATLAB, Python, or equivalent.
  • Strong aptitude and deep understanding of highly advanced and complex machine
  • Ability to travel internationally about 20%, sometimes more frequently.
  • Semiconductor processing knowledge such as flip-chip, die-attach or thermocompression bonding is a plus
  • Motion control systems knowledge is a plus
