We are seeking a dynamic and innovative Learning Designer to create engaging and impactful digital learning content. This role involves working closely with subject matter experts, applying cutting-edge learning theories, and leveraging technology to enhance both online and classroom learning experiences.

Responsibilities

  • Design and develop engaging and compelling digital learning content for implementation in both online and classroom environments, encompassing the following tasks during the development process:
    • Identify target audience's learning needs through engagement with subject matter experts
    • Apply appropriate learning theories to develop practical, application-based learning strategy for each digital learning project
    • Develop storyboards and scripts for digital learning content
    • Coordinate with developers and multimedia experts to create supporting material/media (audio, video, simulations, role plays, games, etc.)
  • Design and recommend different assessment methods (online and physical), such as tests, quizzes, assignments and interactive activities to subject matter experts, ensuring alignment with intended learning outcomes.
  • Analyse and stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in learning technologies and learning design, driving adoption of appropriate digital learning solutions.
  • Manage digital learning projects, maintaining project documentation and ensuring timely and quality deliverables
  • Facilitate the implementation of developed digital content and propose digital learning solutions across courses.
  • Analyse learning data, including usage statistics and users' feedback, to generate management reports on impacts of digital learning projects for continuous improvement.
Requirements

  • Degree in Instructional/ Learning Design, Educational Technology or a related field in Education and Training.
  • At least 5 years of experience in learning/instructional design.
  • Proven expertise in designing, developing, and delivering emerging learning solutions including game-based learning, video, micro-learning, simulations, and immersive scenarios requiring multiple branching elements strongly preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of adult learning theories, principles and instructional design models.
  • Experience working in an Institute of Higher Learning (IHL) environment supporting teaching and learning is preferred.
  • Ability to craft effective storyboards, instructional text, audio and video scripts.
  • Proficiency with industry standard design and authoring software such as Adobe Creative Suite, Storyline and Captivate.
  • Proficiency with generative AI tools for digital content creation.
  • Expertise in lesson, assessment, and curriculum planning.
  • Knowledge of online Learning technologies and their application in Blended Learning Environments.
  • Good analytical skills and is meticulous.
  • Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills.
  • Able to adapt to situations to either work independently or lead the supporting team, as required.
