
School Shadow Teacher/ Junior Behavior Therapist/ Behavior Therapist
Therapy Kidz specialises in providing quality and effective intervention programmes to children who requires additional support in their development. We believe in working closely with the children, their family members and people in their environment to provide a holistic programme.
Responsibilities:
School Shadow Teacher
- Work 1:1 with the student
- Support in subject classes (min 3 hours), adapting learning tasks as required
- Observe the student working with others and monitor for opportunities to teach social skills
- Identify situations when calming or recovery strategies may be needed for the student and guide students accordingly
- Assist in determining learning goals based on data collection, observations of the student managing in the classroom
- Ensure weekly communication and collaboration between the teaching team and parents is provided
- Provide advise and suggestions to help teachers and parents manage the child in school and at home
- Other related duties as assigned
Junior Behavior Therapist/ Behavior Therapist
- Design and implement individualised programmes for children with special needs
- Provide 1-to-1 behavior therapy/ school shadowing to children (between 18 months to 13 years old) at their home or school environment
- Conduct or assist in group therapy/ early intervention classes/ group classes
- Provide timely reports and updates to parents regarding the child's progress
- Provide and upkeep reports and records of sessions as required
- Provide assistance, training and advise to parents and teachers of the clients
- Manage client cases and provide clear updates to Case Managers
- Attend case meetings
- Ad-hoc tasks as assigned by the company
Requirements:
- Fluent spoken and written English
- Able to work early morning shifts to support children in the mainstream schools if required
- Excellent communication skills; IT competencies
- Minimum Diploma holders in early childhood or special needs education
- Relevant certificate and/or experience supporting children with special needs is a preferred
- Open-minded, flexible and collaborative
- Team player and an independent worker
- Eagerness to learn and innovate, seeking and implementing best practices
- Fresh graduates may apply
- Willing to travel around Singapore
