QA Engineer
Key Responsibilities:
Process Oversight and Reporting:
· Communicate and report updates to the Quality Manager (QM) to ensure process reviews and improvements.
· Compile and submit detailed weekly reports on outstanding issues and Quality department performance.
Quality Improvement and Compliance:
· Develop, implement, and maintain rigorous quality standards for precision components and sub-assembly production.
· Plan, schedule, and conduct monthly internal quality audits with Quality Department, identifying vulnerabilities and implementing rectification plans.
Customer and Supplier Relations:
· Act as the primary liaison with suppliers and customers to address quality assurance issues, ensuring corrective actions are effectively executed.
· Manage and resolve customer feedback, Engineering Change Notices (ECN), and Non-Conformance Reports (NCR), ensuring regular status updates.
· Notify QM immediately of scrap jobs and oversee NCR documentation.
Operational Excellence:
· Monitor performance data, including operational reports, to evaluate productivity, goal attainment, and overall department effectiveness.
· Design and implement safeguards to mitigate risks of unexpected operational disruptions, ensuring business continuity.
· Oversee the controlled document system, conducting final reviews for procedural changes to uphold certification standards.
Qualifications & Skills:
· Diploma in Precision Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field preferred.
· Proven experience in a quality engineering role within precision engineering or manufacturing environments.
· Strong understanding of quality systems, ISO standards, and regulatory compliance.
· Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
· Strong interpersonal and communication abilities to collaborate with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
Experience in handling audits and working with classification societies.
· Proficiency in quality reporting tools and metrics analysis.
· Internal Audit Certification is preferred.
