This internship project would embark on an initial step for LCER Phase 3 under RIE2030 by reviewing CU technologies.
Responsibilities:
Identify a list of CU products and analyse which products offer the highest potential for commercial deployment to best utilise the CO2 captured
Identify and analyse the technologies that are best suited for Singapore to manufacture them.
Conduct a scan of CU technologies to better understand the pros and cons, costs and energy demands of various CU products within the global R&D landscape.
Supplement this desktop research with on-the-ground information gathered through face-to-face interactions (e.g. calls, discussions, facility visits) with local researchers and companies to get a better understanding of current capabilities and future plans.
Analyse the CU technologies in comparison with current (fossil-fuel) and future (green-energy) substitutes trends to have a better understanding of:
Engineering-related/ Chemical-related/ Sustainability-related fields of study
Critical thinking and analytical skills able to synthesis information from multiple sources and across multiple fields are essential.
Good communication skills (both written and oral) are essential.
