We are looking for a Content Specialist to support our content initiatives, helping clients craft compelling digital content while also contributing to Verz Design’s own content marketing efforts.
Job Summary
As a Content Specialist, you will be responsible for content planning, drafting, and optimizing content for websites, blogs, social media, press releases, and marketing materials. You will work closely with our SEO, design, and marketing teams to ensure all content aligns with SEO best practices, user experience (UX), and conversion goals.
This role is ideal for a detail-oriented writer and strategist who can create engaging, well-structured content that drives business results.
Key Responsibilities
Content Strategy & Development
Develop content for websites, blogs, press releases, case studies, email marketing
(EDMs), and social media posts.
Ensure content aligns with client objectives, SEO best practices, and engagement
goals.
Conduct research and gather insights to create high-quality, informative, and
persuasive content.
Collaborate with the SEO team to integrate keywords, internal linking, and content
structuring for better rankings.
Content Execution & Optimization
Draft, edit, and proofread content to ensure clarity, coherence, and consistency.
Optimize content for readability, user experience, and engagement.
Work with UI/UX designers to enhance content presentation and layout.
Maintain Verz Design’s blog and website content to strengthen brand positioning and
attract inbound leads.
Collaboration & Coordination
- Work closely with account managers, SEO specialists, designers, and clients to align
- content with project goals.
- Follow structured content briefs and guidelines while contributing creative ideas.
- Ensure content is delivered on time and meets client expectations.
Performance Tracking & Improvement
- Use tools like Google Analytics, SEMrush, or Ahrefs to monitor content performance.
- Identify areas for improvement and recommend enhancements based on data insights.
- Stay updated with content marketing and SEO trends to refine strategies.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in content creation, content marketing, or copywriting (agency experience preferred).
- Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail.
- Basic understanding of SEO principles (keyword research, meta optimization, internal linking).
- Experience in writing website copy, blog posts, and marketing materials.
- Familiarity with content management systems (e.g., WordPress) and SEO tools (e.g., SEMrush, Ahrefs, Google Search Console).
- Ability to multitask and manage deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- A team player who can take initiative and adapt to evolving content needs.
