Job Responsibilities:
Perform welding, cutting, and fabrication of ground support equipment using various welding techniques (e.g., ARC, Stick welding).
Inspect, maintain, and repair ground equipment including but not limited to tugs, dollies, and other airport ground support machinery.
Read and interpret simple drawing, technical instruction, and specifications to determine work requirements.
Ensure all repairs and welding work meet customer standards, safety regulations, and quality assurance protocols.
Identify and assess equipment damage, perform necessary repairs, and complete all work efficiently and accurately.
Maintain a clean and organized work area, ensuring all tools and equipment are properly stored and well-maintained.
Adhere to safety standards, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) and following all safety procedures in the workshop environment.
Job Requirements:
Proven experience as a welder, preferably with experience in ground support equipment or similar industries.
Strong proficiency in welding techniques (ARC, Stick welding).
Ability to read and interpret simple drawings.
Knowledge of ground equipment maintenance and repair practices is a plus.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Ability to work under non air-con environment and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Valid welding certification(s) (e.g., AWS, ASME) preferred.
Physical ability to lift heavy objects, work in confined spaces, and stand for extended periods.
