Role Overview: Join our dynamic Bid Services team as a Senior Estimator, where you'll play a pivotal role in designing and estimating complex, high-value bids for strategic opportunities. Collaborate with bid managers, general managers, and the APAC sales team to align with strategic plans and drive successful bid submissions.Key Responsibilities:
  • Bid Assessment: Evaluate bids to ensure alignment with AVTEL’s business strategies and determine commercial viability.
  • Design & Estimation: Plan, coordinate, and oversee all design and estimation activities, ensuring compliance and timely submission.
  • Risk Management: Identify and address technical design risks throughout the bid process.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with local service providers, key suppliers, and internal teams to ensure project briefs are understood and submissions are compliant.
  • Negotiation: Partner with procurement to negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors for the best commercial terms.
  • Client Interaction: Respond to design queries and collaborate with sales, operations, engineering, and client representatives to gather necessary information.
  • Handover Support: Assist in the transition from bid submission to operational delivery, ensuring clarity on project scope, timelines, and risks.
  • Continuous Improvement: Support the Group Bid Manager in enhancing design and estimation processes and developing global templates.
RequirementsWho You Are
  • Industry Knowledge: Strong understanding of the electronic security market and AVTEL’s core offerings.
  • Experience: Minimum 7 years in bid preparation within the security integration business, with a focus on international markets.
  • Commercial Acumen: Clear understanding of gross margin drivers and commercial terms in the security industry.
  • Team Collaboration: Proven ability to work with diverse teams across various regions.
  • Leadership: Effective in setting tasks, providing feedback, and fostering team development.
  • Communication: Strong communicator and influencer, capable of presenting ideas clearly and gaining stakeholder support.
  • Decision-Making: Ability to make timely decisions with available information.
