Main Purpose: The Credit Risk Manager will be responsible for managing credit risk across the company’s global trading operations, spanning oil and petroleum products, metals, minerals, bulk commodities, and gas, power, renewables, and carbon management.   • Minimum 7 years’ credit analysis experience in a commodities trader or financial institution. Strong financial analysis and credit risk assessment capabilities
  • Experience in structuring and negotiating credit terms in trading environments
  • Understanding of physical trading and derivative products, and familiarity with standard physical commodity contracts and ISDA agreements
  • Ability to influence cross-functional teams and support or lead initiatives
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with ability to build and maintain relationships at all levels
  • Deep sector experience in one (or more) industry pillars
  • Structured Finance (structured offtake, upstream, project, acquisition finance) or derivatives experience
  • Fluency in Mandarin is advantageous as the role may require engagement with the Chinese market
Key Responsibilities
  • Approve and/or recommend internal credit limits
  • Manage a portfolio of counterparties, continuously monitoring for adverse developments and new items. Take appropriate action in support of the business when needed
  • Evaluate specific large, complex or long-dated trades and structured deals
  • Develop relationships with counterparties and deep industry expertise of the sectors covered
  • Provide desk coverage to regional traders, ensuring alignment of risk policies with trading strategies
  • Proactively support business growth by assessing new trading opportunities and advising on potential risks
  • Review and negotiate contractual terms with counterparties
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including traders, legal, operations, finance departments as well as the global credit team
  • Support initiatives to enhance credit risk processes, driving greater efficiency and accuracy
  • Prepare and present detailed risk reports, highlighting exposures, trends, and key risk areas to senior management
