Job Summary:
We are seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Sommelier to join our dynamic Food & Beverage team. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Japanese Alcohol (Sake, shochu, whiskey, highball concoction, cocktails), excellent customer service skills, and the ability to enhance our guests' dining experience through expert alcohol beverage recommendations.
Job Description:
• Curate and manage the restaurant's alcohol list (sake shochu whiskey), ensuring a diverse and high-quality selection
• Provide expert advice to guests on Sake, shochu and food pairings
• Conduct sake, shochu tastings and educational sessions for staff and guests (commission based additional income)
• Maintain proper inventory and storage of alcohols
Job Requirements:
• Minimum 1-2 years of experience in a similar role. OR good discerning knowledge on sake and shochu appreciation.
• Excellent palate and in-depth knowledge of sake, shochu, whiskey regions, varietals, and production methods
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-centric approach
