Job Purpose:
The Warehouse Assistant at GME Chemicals Singapore plays a key role in ensuring smooth warehouse operations by handling inbound and outbound shipments, maintaining inventory accuracy, and ensuring timely and correct deliveries. This role supports logistics coordination, optimizes storage efficiency, and upholds workplace safety standards to enhance overall operational effectiveness and customer satisfaction. The regular working hours are 8:30 am to 5:30 pm Monday to Friday and every other Saturday 8:30am to 12:30 pm.
Key Responsibilities:
Perform all physical tasks within the warehouse.
Unload inbound goods and store them appropriately as directed by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Pick and pack outgoing goods based on the picklist provided by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Maintain accurate warehouse inventory records.
Ensure the safe receipt, storage, retrieval, and timely dispatch of goods.
Verify and release the correct cargo to the correct driver during daily collections.
Work closely with the Warehouse Supervisor and Logistics department for instructions, support, and updates.
Ensure stock issuance accuracy and uphold the quality of delivered goods.
Optimize storage space by properly allocating stock to improve efficiency.
Conduct stock cycle counts twice a year as scheduled by the Supervisor.
Support internal and external annual audit checks.
Identify and resolve inventory discrepancies and prepare inventory reports.
Adhere to workplace safety regulations, including fire and safety protocols.
Maintain a zero-incident rate in all warehouse activities.
Undertake other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Warehouse Supervisor.
Report and provide feedback on any warehouse-related issues to the Supervisor.
Qualifications:
GCE 'O' Level/ ITE or equivalent
A minimum of 1 years working experience in a warehouse or logistics environment
Basic knowledge of MS Office and warehouse management systems (WMS) is an advantage
Physically fit and comfortable with manual labor tasks
Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling inventory
Team player with a proactive attitude and willingness to learn
Good communication and interpersonal skills
Able to adapt to a fast-paced environment and work under minimal supervision
