Your Role

We are looking for a Business & Data Analysis Intern to join our Business Intelligence (BI) team and
gain hands-on experience in e-commerce analytics, marketing performance tracking, and customer
insights. This internship is ideal for students or recent graduates who are passionate about data
analysis, business strategy, and e-commerce.

As a Business & Data Analysis Intern, you will work on real-world projects from day one, contributing
to customer analysis, marketing optimisation, and data-driven decision-making. Using Python, SQL,
and Tableau, you will gain experience working with tools like Shopify, Microsoft Dynamics 365
Business Central, Google Analytics, and Facebook Ads while collaborating with marketing, sales, and
product teams.

Responsibilities

You can expect to work on some of / all of these projects in different stages, depending on business
needs at the time of your internship:

Project 1: Customer Cohort Analysis & Retention

  • Analyse Customer Behavior – Work with Shopify and Business Central data to categorise
customers into first-time buyers, repeat customers, and high-value segments.
  • Track Customer Retention – Calculate 30, 60, and 90-day retention rates and analyse trends.
  • Visualise Data – Assist in building a customer retention dashboard in Tableau.
  • Insights & Recommendations – Identify strategies such as loyalty programs and discounts to

improve customer retention.

Deliverables:

  • Customer segmentation & retention analysis report.
  • Tableau/Power BI dashboard for tracking customer retention trends.

Project 2: Google Analytics & Facebook Ads Performance Tracking

  • Monitor Digital Marketing Performance – Track Google Analytics & Facebook Ads performance
for ongoing campaigns.
  • Analyse Click-Through Rates (CTR) – Calculate and compare CTR across newsletters, Google
Ads, and Facebook Ads.
  • Dashboard Development – Assist in creating a Google Analytics + Ads unified dashboard to
track return on ad spend (ROAS), CTR, and customer acquisition costs (CAC).
  • Campaign Optimisation – Identify underperforming ad campaigns and suggest improvements.

Deliverables:

  • GA + Facebook Ads performance dashboard on Tableau.
  • Campaign performance tracker & optimisation recommendations.

Project 3: Marketing Campaign Analysis & A/B Testing

  • A/B Testing Design – Help define test parameters for ads, landing pages, and UI changes.
  • Campaign Tracking – Monitor performance across variations and analyse conversion rate
changes.
  • Performance Insights – Summarise findings and recommend winning ad creatives or web

optimisations.

Deliverables:

  • Campaign tracking dashboard on Tableau.
  • A/B test results & recommendations for marketing and UX improvements.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with, or exposure to SQL and/or Python (Pandas library) is preferred.
  • Desire to grow data analysis, stakeholder management, and project management skills.
  • An interest in how data can shape marketing strategy in an online business to consumer (B2C)

environment.
