Who we’re looking for:
We’re looking for an experienced Sales Merchandiser to join our team and work with us as we bring our period care products to consumers across Singapore. You’ll be an important part of our team and play a big part in making our game-changing products readily visible and accessible to consumers via our retailer’s stores by increasing distribution of listed products, execution of sales and marketing programs - all while gaining valuable experience and exposure at a rapidly scaling consumer startup in Southeast Asia.
Core Responsibilities
Ensuring Products and POSMs are In-stock and Well-displayed (70%)
- Travel for daily visits to our retailer stores across Singapore covering both modern and general trade retailers
- Display, arrange, price, and rotate products in store using FIFO, taking ownership to ensure stocks are sufficient and no OOS
- For stores that don’t have sufficient stocks during the visit, must request store managers to manually re-order additional stocks for the store; if automated, request to raise auto replenishment level of the store
- Ensure POG/listed items are in place and as visible as possible
- Deploy and replace POS materials in-store (e.g. testers, wobblers etc.)
- Execute prompt set-up of price promotions and HQ-level displays when required (e.g. top shelf, hangsell etc.)
Build Win-win Relationships with Stores (20%)
- Build good relations with store staff and managers, and brief them on our hero SKUs, giving staff samples and product brochures/info
- Negotiate with stores for secondary space/displays, and push boundaries to maximize opportunities to place stocks & POSMs at relevant positions in stores whenever possible
- Support cross functional teams in conducting distribution audit and ad hoc duties as and when required to drive overall brand growth
Planning, Feedback & Reporting (10%)
- Plan itinerary of the given areas and stores to cover
- Provide regular photos and feedback on our products/activities, and share store and display issues, and competitor’s activities to Sales Management
KPIs
- Average of 12 visits per working day
- Store list is visited according to agreed visit frequency (to be aligned quarterly just in case some stores have grown over time)
- Completion of Basic Visit Procedure (BVP) in-store:

Replenishment
Price Promo Check and Execution
Taking Before and After Photos of home bay, HQ level OSDs and new extra displays secured
Tray and Hanging Samplers installation (if store does not have them yet)
Submit visit log via Typeform link or any application that will be cascaded down in the future to ensure trade visit efficiency
- Quantity of additional orders pushed in-store after out of stock is raised
- New Extra Displays - focus display and quantity targets to be set monthly pending alignment with line manager
- Must prioritize HQ-level deployment at the start of the month (if there are any booked displays) before other store visit and new extra displays. Deployment of HQ-level displays must be completed on time and in full within the first 3 days of the cycle’s start date.
