Senior Manager (Security Operations)

In this role, you will:
  • Manage a team of security staff for daily operations and ensure effective implementation of security protocols
  • Oversee the day-to-day security operations, including physical security measures, the high availability state of security devices (access control system and surveillance systems), and readiness of our ground security officers
  • Review, design and implement security measures to enhance security posture of DSO
  • Act as a Business Partner to the Divisions:
a) Engage division management to provide updates on security insights/trends pertaining to their division through the use of data analytics tools for pre-emptive management intervention
b) Assist Project Leads to secure project/ facility/ personnel clearances and address security concerns
  • Review existing security processes through the use of digitalisation tools so as to bring about better efficiency and experience for staff in the organisation
  • Oversee, plan and execute emergency response, crisis management/operations readiness plan relating to ensure the security posture of the organisation
  • Partner Security Governance team in security audits and propose action plans to eliminate security vulnerabilities
  • Assume the responsibility of a Contract Manager for outsourced services such as armed guards and security officer contracts with vendors to monitor KPIs and ensure security outcomes are met
  • Work with consultants to conduct risk assessment and support the development of risk mitigation strategies
  • Stays informed about industry best practices, emerging security technologies and relevant regulations so as to continuously improve the security interest of the organisation
  • Management of budget relating to security operations


Requirements

  • Degree in Management and Security Studies / Security By Design / Security Management / Digital Systems Security
  • At least 10 years of experience in security related role
  • Strong leadership qualities to motivate, guide and develop a team of security staff in the department
  • Critical thinking abilities to anticipate security risks, develop pro-active security measures and align security initiatives to meet organisation goals
  • Strong communication and staffing skills to engage management, staff and team members to articulate security concepts and communicate security strategies
  • Stay up to date with latest security trends, regulations and best practices as well as deep understanding of industry standards and compliance requirements
  • Possess collaborative approach to foster cooperation with other departments and build strong working relationship to collaborate effectively with cross-functional team
  • Familiar with regulatory compliance requirements and experience in conducting security audits, ensuring adherence to security standards and implementing corrective actions
  • Experience in managing security vendors and service providers, including contract management, performance evaluation and ensuring compliance to contract obligations
  • Ability to drive innovations, adapt to evolving security threats and implement new security technologies and approaches
