This role is essential in supporting our logistics operations and ensuring that our customers receive timely and efficient service as we continue to expand our business.

Job Purpose:

The Logistics Assistant at GME Chemicals Singapore will support efficient logistics operations, handling both inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring accurate deliveries, and maintaining inventory accuracy. This role will assist in coordinating between teams and external partners to optimize processes and enhance customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

Managing daily Logistic activities : -

Out bound

  • Key contact and responsible person for all Tat Lee orders and deliveries.

  • Manages logistics operations to ensure efficient and accurate delivery of shipments

  • Preparation of relevant documents (invoice, Packing list)to support the above activities

  • Support CS for all product categories DO’s for delivery and collection.

  • Preparing customer’s brand labelling for products to be delivered

  • Organize local transportation for deliveries

  • Logging into SAP goods receipts for affiliated companies in Vietnam, Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore.

  • Verify warehouse Delivery Orders against D/O ( For any wrong issue eg: wrong Qty, different batch/product ).

  • Reconcile the stock lists in warehouse

  • Every day @4:30pm do a summary check for any miss delivery/collection instructions/schedules arrangements with transporter and warehouse

  • Builds long-term logistics relationships with business segments with a focus on consolidation and cargo optimisation.

  • Organize and consolidate local transportation for deliveries

  • Provides daily operational support to internal customer specialists shipment requests by proactively monitoring carrier performance.

  • Ensuring completed delivery orders are endorsed by customers

  • Verify warehouse Delivery Orders against our DOs ( For any wrong issue eg: wrong Qty, different batch/product ).

In Bound

  • Key contact and responsible person for all Tat Lee inbound logistics activities.

  • Incoming shipment arrangement.

  • Follow up incoming shipping document from CS department,

  • Liaise with forwarder to arrange clearance of incoming shipping

  • Follow up inward permit

  • Monitor of delivery date to warehouse

  • Inform warehouse of incoming

  • Follow up Rtag/ GR from warehouse

  • System updates GR.

  • Ensure system information with supplier document information to be tally upon GR

  • Control of defected product. (Dented/ leaking / dusty/ Torn etc)

  • Follow up of compensation of defected product from CS

  • Update system of defected product which was compensated

  • Soft copy document saving control

  • Hard copy document filling

Other Duties

  • Export document preparation

  • Working with the CRM based development pool including analysis

  • Preparation of a periodic business report in close cooperation with the business and product management

  • Back up other Logistics team members in their absence.

  • Key contact person for investigating and registering right licensing for new products with the respective Singapore authorities.

Qualifications:

  • GCE 'O' Level/ ITE or equivalent

  • A minimum of 1 years working experience in a comparable position

  • Knowledge of MS Office

  • Team player with initiative

  • Excellent inter-personal skills with good communication skills

  • Energetic and keen to learn

  • Able to adapt to changing environment and exercise flexibility
