Scope of job:

1. Installation and Commissioning:

  • Install electrical systems, equipment, and machinery as per technical specifications and safety regulations.
  • Assist in the commissioning of electrical systems and ensure they are operating correctly.
  • Ensure all installations are in compliance with the relevant codes and standards.

2. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:

  • Conduct routine maintenance checks on electrical systems to ensure efficient functioning.
  • Diagnose faults, troubleshoot electrical problems, and repair or replace faulty components.
  • Provide preventive maintenance to avoid breakdowns and optimize system performance.

3. Customer Support:

  • Offer on-site and remote technical support to customers, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Respond to customer queries and resolve electrical issues promptly.
  • Provide training and guidance to customers on proper use and maintenance of electrical systems.

4. System Upgrades:

  • Assess and recommend upgrades to existing electrical systems and equipment.
  • Implement system improvements to enhance functionality, safety, and efficiency.

5. Safety & Compliance:

  • Follow all safety protocols, electrical codes, and regulations to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Conduct safety inspections and risk assessments on electrical systems and equipment.
  • Ensure compliance with local, national, and industry-specific electrical standards.

6. Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of service activities, including repairs, maintenance, and customer interactions.
  • Prepare and submit detailed reports on findings, repairs, and service schedules.
  • Maintain an inventory of electrical components and tools.
  • Monitor progress on the works carried out and coordinate with customer and shipyard on site during Repair and Commissioning Job.
  • Prepare timesheets and service report upon completion of all works and ensure all document is properly endorsed/verified by customer and uploaded to serve on time.

7. Collaboration & Coordination:

  • Work closely with project managers, technical teams, and clients to understand service requirements.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for spare parts and service tools.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure efficient and effective project execution.

8. Continuous Improvement:

  • Stay updated with the latest electrical technologies, techniques, and industry best practices.
  • Attend training and certification programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute ideas for improving service efficiency and customer satisfaction.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

· Education:

  • A bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related field.
  • Certification in electrical systems or maintenance (e.g., NEC, NFPA) is a plus.

· Experience:

  • Proven experience as an Electrical Service Engineer or similar role (typically 5 years above).
  • Hands-on experience with electrical systems, wiring, motors, circuit boards, and related components.
  • Familiarity with diagnostic tools, testing equipment, and electrical schematics.

· Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, circuits, and components.
  • Proficient in using electrical diagnostic tools, multimeters, and testing devices.
  • Understanding of electrical safety regulations and standards.

· Soft Skills:

  • Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong communication skills (both verbal and written).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry heavy electrical components and tools.
  • Ability to work in confined spaces or at heights when required.

  • Commissioning, start-up, and testing of mechanical, hydraulic, control system and electric integration system on newly build vessel.
  • Recommendation of Spare Parts or solutions to customer during Repair or Troubleshoots Works.
  • Constant monitoring of the progress and quality on the works carried out and coordinate with customer and shipyard on site during Repair and Commissioning Job.
  • Ensure our Equipment’s perform as per requirement and satisfaction of Customer.
