Position Overview

We are seeking an Accountant to focus on financial reporting and compliance. This role is crucial for managing the governance and controls over financial reporting, ensuring accurate and timely financial statements preparation, and overseeing compliance with accounting standards and regulations. This role will report to the Finance Manager, Singapore.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage period-end closing activities for management reporting and statutory compliance.
  • For companies within the Group, oversee and ensure timely and accurate closing activities completion.
  • Prepare financial data to support tax submissions, government declarations, and other departmental needs.
  • Prepare monthly consolidation and reporting package for internal reporting and oversee the development and management of the annual budgeting process.
  • Work closely with external auditors for audit purposes.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance the accuracy and completeness of internal and external reporting.
  • Assist Finance Manager to develop and implement systems of internal control to ensure the integrity of financial data.
  • Support other ad-hoc projects as and when required.

Qualifications and Experiences

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or CA/CPA equivalent.
  • 3 to 5 years of proven working experience in a similar role with a focus on full-set accounting operations.
  • Big 4 and/or supervisory experience is preferred but not required.
  • Strong understanding of logistic and asset management accounting, and local tax regulations.
  • Skilled in using various MS Office (e.g. Excel) and ERP (e.g. SAP) software.
  • Proficiency in both English and Mandarin Chinese (written and spoken) will be highly advantageous.
