The Theatre Practice is looking for a PRODUCTION COORDINATOR to join our producing and production team!

A production coordinator is responsible for ensuring the production team completes technical goals, safely and on time. Your daily duties include planning, scheduling and executing production-related preparations for all Practice programmes. Other duties may include the research and development of production delivery mediums and methods.

Roles & Responsibilities

A. Overall:

  • You will be joining the Programming & Production Team
  • You will be reporting to the Programming & Production Team Lead and Technical Director.
  • You will be collaborating with colleagues from all departments in The Theatre Practice (Practice).
  • You will be required to participate in non-production events, including but not limited to meetings, team brainstorming sessions and celebratory events.

B. Practice Productions and Programmes:

  • You will be involved in coordinating and / or executing technical preparation for Practice’s productions including main season programming, festivals, school and community productions.
  • You will collaborate with external and in-house Production Manager(s) and Stage Manager(s) in managing production preparations and presentations.
  • You will partake in assigned Practice productions and events. This includes but is not limited to coordinating resource usage, recruiting manpower and setting up production elements across different mediums.
  • You are required to review, organise and archive final technical documentations / deliverables to the best of your ability.
  • You will work with external technical contractors/suppliers in executing production elements.
  • You will work together with the administration team to oversee the working conditions and security of the venue and existing inventory.

C. Venue Hire Productions and Events:

  • You will be leading communications with external parties with regards to venue hire productions and events.
  • You will assist in the maintenance of all equipment and restoration of all spaces in Practice to ensure a safe, tidy and welcoming working environment.
  • You will be involved in coordinating both Practice's and venue hire events to ensure that said event(s) run smoothly, including but not limited to de-conflicting the usage of space and equipment.
  • You will support the Technical Director in evaluating the production needs of the venue hirer.
  • You will work with the administration team in generating venue reports for relevant stakeholders.
  • You will manage venue managers who oversee the working condition and security of the venue and inventory during productions and events.
