We are looking for a highly motivated front of house manager to be in charge of managing the day-to-day operations and customer experience of a Café. Located in a trendy neighbourhood close to CBD, with a novel concept.

As the Manager in the Café you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth day to day operation, providing exceptional customer service. You should possess strong business acumen, strong leadership and management skills.

You should also have the following experience:

 Excellent communication skills in English and interpersonal skills.

 A proven track record in the food & beverage industry, along with familiarity with restaurant/cafe/bistro operations, consistent and stable work experience is essential.

 Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

 Knowledge in menu planning and food costing.

 Barista experience.

 Experience using POS system.

 Financial skills and experience with restaurant budgeting.

 Minimum 2-3 years of experience as a restaurant/cafe manager.

 Passion for great customer service.

 WSQ food safety level 1 certificate is advantageous.

 Interest in wine and coffee will be an added advantage.

Your responsibilities include:

 Achieve sales targets, profitability and customer satisfaction.

 Develop and implement operational strategies to ensure efficient and profitable operation.

 Oversee all aspects of day to day operations including staff management, inventory control, and financial management.

 Ensure exceptional customer service is provided at all times.

 Handle customer complaints and feedback professionally and effectively.

 Assist in recruiting, training and developing a high performing team.

 Create a positive and supportive work environment that encourages teamwork and collaboration.

 Manage restaurant budget, controlling expenses and maximise profitability.

 Analyse sales data and identify areas for improvement.

 Monitoring inventory levels, reporting discrepancies, ordering and restocking supplies

 Ensure cleanliness and tidiness of café

 Work with company director to develop and execute promotional campaigns.

 Liaise with Head Chef and kitchen staff.

 Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations.

 Keep track of absenteeism and medical leave of staff.

 Monitor and maintain the operating systems of the outlet.

 Handle both beverage and waffle making sections when necessary.

 Assist in packing takeaway / delivery orders when necessary.

 Manage staff medical leave and absenteeism.

 Ensure that closing procedures are completed.

 Assist in creating detailed reports on weekly, monthly and annual revenues.

 Assist in controlling operational costs and identify measures to cut waste.
