Role Overview
The Programme Manager (Educational Support) is pivotal in designing, implementing, and overseeing the academic support programmes. This position requires strategic planning, stakeholder engagement, and the management of tutors and academic coaches to ensure high-quality educational support for students. The role also involves mentoring children and youth, fostering their learning motivation, and strengthening home-school-community partnerships.
Key Responsibilities
Plan, implement, and oversee academic support programmes, ensuring alignment with Tasek’s mission and Positive Youth Development framework.
Recruit, onboard, and coordinate the deployment of tutors and academic coaches, providing ongoing support and professional development to enhance their teaching effectiveness.
Mentor children and youth, supporting their personal development, learning motivation, and academic progress.
Work closely with schools, social service agencies, and families to identify learning needs and tailor academic interventions accordingly.
Engage stakeholders, including parents, universities, and partner organisations, to strengthen home-school-community collaboration and enhance the programme’s impact.
Organise and manage workshops, tutoring sessions, and enrichment activities to complement academic learning and holistic development.
Oversee administrative tasks, including attendance tracking, programme documentation, and reporting on programme effectiveness.
Analyse data and generate reports to evaluate learning outcomes and improve programme strategies.
Pre-requisite
A degree or diploma in education, psychology, youth work, social work, communications, or related fields.
Experience in mentoring, tutoring, or working with children and youth in an educational or community setting is highly desirable.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with educators, volunteers, and other stakeholders.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating initiative and problem-solving skills.
Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all children and youth.
Flexibility to work on weekends.
