Role Details

  • Experience Required: Minimum 2 years of video editing (specifically for paid ads on Meta/TikTok).

Compensation

  • Base Salary: $2000 - $3,000 USD per month (based on experience & creative volume)
  • Performance Bonuses: $500 for every ad creative variant that scales past $100,000 in spend

Required Skills & Experience

  • Creative Execution (Concept & Strategy)
  • Strong storytelling ability – you know how to structure an ad for maximum engagement and conversions
  • Deep understanding of video ad trends and best practices.
  • Ability to incorporate motion graphics, basic animation, and engaging visual elements to enhance video effectiveness.
  • Attention to detail with subtitles, branding, grammar and spelling
  • Video Editing (Technical Skills)
  • Experience editing short-form video ads (under 60s)
  • Experience editing Video Sales Letters(3-5+ minutes)
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, CapCut, or similar video editing tools.
  • Expertise in pacing, sound design, transitions, and text overlays to maximize engagement.
  • Workflow & Project Management
  • Ability to manage multiple projects at once while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Highly organized with efficient file management and version control.
  • Communication & Collaboration
  • Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively across different time zones.
  • Open to feedback and able to make revisions quickly based on performance insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Edit short-form direct-response video ads (15-60 sec) as well as medium to long-form direct-response VSL ads (3-5+ minutes)
  • Cut, arrange, and edit raw footage into engaging, high-converting ads and VSLs.
  • Select the best hooks, transitions, and pacing to capture attention within the first 3 seconds.
  • Add burned-in subtitles, motion graphics, and overlays to maximise engagement.
  • Work with our Ad Strategists to optimize ads based on performance data.
  • Stay up to date with top-performing ad trends to ensure content remains fresh, relevant, and high-performing.
  • Ensure all videos meet high-quality standards and are delivered on time.

Team Collaboration & Communication

  • Slack Channels: For all internal communication.
  • Weekly Team Syncs: 30-minute stand-up every Monday at 3 PM PST.
  • Feedback & Revisions: Editors must be open to revisions based on ad performance and feedback.
