A Banking Client Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the end-to-end process of onboarding new clients to the bank, ensuring a seamless and efficient experience. This role involves verifying and collecting necessary documentation, performing KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) checks, and ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
Responsbilities:
- Collect, verify, and validate KYC (Know Your Customer) and AML (Anti-Money Laundering) information.
- Coordinate with various internal teams (e.g., compliance, risk, legal) to ensure smooth and efficient onboarding.
- Ensure accurate completion of account opening forms, legal agreements, and supporting documentation.
- Input client data into the bank's systems and ensure the data is accurate and up-to-date.
- Ensure all compliance procedures, including AML and KYC checks, are fully adhered to.
- Perform due diligence checks and risk assessments to identify potential issues.
- Flag and escalate any discrepancies or issues to the appropriate team for resolution.
- Act as the main point of contact for new clients during the onboarding process.
- Provide clients with clear communication about the onboarding steps and set expectations for timelines.
- Address any questions or concerns clients may have during the onboarding process.
- Work closely with sales and relationship management teams to ensure a seamless transition from account opening to active banking relationships.
Requirements:
- A bachelor’s degree in business, finance, economics, or a related field.
- Previous experience in client onboarding, banking operations, or customer service is often required
- Experience in compliance, KYC (Know Your Customer), AML (Anti-Money Laundering), or risk management is a plus.
- Familiarity with banking products and services.
