MISSION

Reporting to the Marketing Communications & Admissions Director, the Marketing Communications Manager directs the Marketing Communications team to deliver comprehensive marketing and communication materials. This individual will oversee the delivery of the IFS strategy to implement comprehensive marketing and communication materials and multimedia for internal and external campaigns. The Marketing Communications Manager will seek out and develop effective communication content, coordinate external and internal communications and work collaboratively with numerous departments within the school. This position creates, writes and publishes communication support material for external and internal audiences under the guidance and support of the Marketing Communication & Admissions Director.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Participation in the execution of the IFS marketing communication strategy:

  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies validated by the Marketing Communication & Admissions Director that build community loyalty, brand awareness, and IFS family and staff satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement effective communication strategies for internal staff consumption that keeps the school's educational and administrative community updated and informed.
  • Participate in developing communication and marketing strategies for new student acquisition, community opportunities, product & service launches, events, and promotions.
  • Work with different departments to generate new ideas and content.

Organisation, implementation and improvement of marketing and communication outcomes:

  • Supervise and execute the creation of informative and exciting posters, brochures, pull-up banners (kakemonos), institutional documents, newsletters, informative editorial, and related marketing and communication materials.
  • Plan and manage communication materials' design, content, and production, including the Annual Report and School Yearbook.
  • Advise and assist the different schools (maternelle, élémentaire, collège, lycée) and administration departments (HR, Event, social media, admissions, parent relations, orientation, library, orientation team, arts, sports, ...) in the implementation of their internal or external communication plans.
  • Develop and deliver internal & external newsletters
  • Provide content for the IFS website (news, page content, etc...)
  • Supervise projects to guarantee all content is publication-ready, especially in French.
  • Develop and implement new website tools e.g. virtual tour and map tools
  • Lead and develop the Marketing Communications department, overseeing the strategic execution of marketing communication initiatives. This includes direct management of the Marketing Communication Assistant, Social Media & Website Moderator, and Multimedia Production Specialist, ensuring alignment with organisational goals. Additionally, provide mentorship and guidance to interns within the IFS Marketing Communications department.

IFS Brand Management and Public Relations :

  • Manage the IFS brand image and champion the IFS brand guidelines.
  • Be the IFS key contact with the French Embassy, the French Chamber of Commerce in Singapore and French/expat media (lepetitjournal, le bottin, expat living,...)

REQUIRED SKILLS, EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATION

  • Degree in Journalism, Communication, Advertising, Public Relations or similar.
  • 5 to 10 years' experience in communications (PR Agency, Communication Agency, Client relationship roles, advertising agencies, brand consultancies, etc)
  • Excellent knowledge of the various media channels and communication tools
  • Mastery of Windows tools and creative software like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, etc.
  • Fluent in oral and written French. A good command and level in English as appropriate for conducting day-to-day business
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills. Particularly in French.
  • Adaptability, creativity, responsiveness and autonomy
  • Good multitasker and capable of simultaneously managing multiple projects with different deadlines
  • Capable of working well as part of a team as well as independently
  • Organised and autonomous
  • Internal customer/client orientation
  • Interested in education and the international educational environment.
