Responsibilities

As an Engineer, R&D Equipment, you will oversee the selection, procurement, installation, and commissioning of equipment for the FCBGA substrate production facility. Your responsibilities include managing preventive maintenance, calibration, and plant automation systems, such as automatic transport and measurement technologies. You will also monitor and report on equipment performance and capacity utilization to ensure optimal operational efficiency.

  • Strategy Planning
  • Develop and execute medium- to long-term equipment implementation plans.
  • Plan, implement, and manage the equipment budget.

  • Define equipment specifications and prepare purchase specifications.
  • Compare and select manufacturers.
  • Conduct price reviews.
  • Plan and manage the approval process (Ringisho).
  • Design of Production Lines
  • Create and manage purchase orders (PO).
  • Participate in production design meetings.
  • Conduct design reviews.
  • Production
  • Initiate production and coordinate equipment delivery specifications.
  • Oversee on-site commissioning and prepare the inspection report.
  • Installation and Change Management
  • Conduct installation and related ancillary work.
  • Perform trial runs.
  • Manage spare parts inventory.
  • Provide operations and maintenance training.
  • Conduct safety audits and assessments.
  • Apply change management procedures.
  • Prepare the initial flow management results report.
  • Recognition
  • Carry out equipment acceptance inspections and prepare the acceptance report.
  • Prepare various standards and oversee the delivery of equipment.

Perform any other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the Manager, as required to support the team and organizational goals.

  • Premises located in 9 Pesawat Drive, Singapore 619607 or any other location
  • Permanent, full-time role working 40 hours per week

Job Requirements

Professional Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification and experience.
  • Experience with equipment technology is preferred.

Specialized Knowledge & Skills:

  • Knowledge of semiconductor-related equipment is desirable.
  • Basic understanding of the substrate manufacturing process is desirable.
  • Familiarity with productivity indicators.
  • Experience with creating CAD, specifications, and drawings.
  • Knowledge of PLC programming is preferred.
  • Experience with installing and erecting equipment is preferred.
  • Experience in construction management of buildings and utilities is preferred.

Competencies:

  • Strong ability to work with care and precision.
  • Proficient in coordinating with vendors and facilitating negotiations.
