  5. On the left, click Content Blockers.
  6. Make sure Off is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.
  7. On the left, click Pop-up Windows.
  8. Make sure Allow is chosen in the pop-up menu next to the website.

What The Role Is

You lead and supervise a small team to leverage data science methods and techniques to enhance MINDEF/SAF’s strategic communications.

What You Will Be Working On
  • Supervise the derivation of data-driven insights and recommendations from the application of data science, integrated with social science insights, to study MINDEF/SAF’s audiences and defence-related issues
  • Supervise the translation of data into visual insights and recommendations to guide MINDEF/SAF’s strategic communications strategy, policy and planning across public and internal communications, and community engagement
  • Guide the team to develop and maintain the communications data architecture to support analysis and decision-making


Challenge(s)

  • Translating complex data and technical findings to strategic communications practitioners and decision makers
  • Understanding MINDEF/SAF’s organisational considerations and the intricacies of the information environment that MINDEF/SAF operates in


What We Are Looking For
  • Education in Mathematics, Economics, Statistics, Computer Science, Psychometrics, Operational Research or related field
  • At least 6 years of experience in data science, analytics or communications, with at least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • Technical knowledge in analysis methods, data management, programming languages and visualisation software
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Good presentation and communication skills
