Senior Lead Semiconductor Fab Equipment Technician
We are an established international Semiconductor Fab Equipment supplier with rapidly growing subsidiaries in the US and Singapore. We provide advanced process control solutions that have supported key fab process steps for over 3 decades. We are looking for a Senior Semiconductor Fab Equipment Manager with Field Service Technician experience in Singapore. You will be a part of a service team at the leading edge of a global workforce to drive service of a large install base and penetration of new products. Industry experience and a strong technical background is a must. Experience on the business/managerial side is a plus but not required, as long as you are willing to grow into the role. Main responsibilities:
- Managing and helping perform on-site customer installation, service, modification, and repair of semiconductor equipment
- Interface with customers, vendors and partners
- Lead problem-solving and understanding of long term down equipment issues – troubleshoot
- Managing inventory of parts based on history and forecasting
- Execute equipment tests as directed by customer and headquarters
- Maintain detailed records and reports as required
- Respond to emergency service calls as required – analyze Tool Alarm and Abort data and fix
- In-house technical phone support and training sessions
- Support the development of equipment training programs with planned maintenance procedures
- Provide training to customer in-house technicians on system operation and maintenance
- Remain current on equipment/tools through appropriate training, manuals, factory periodicals, and other relevant materials
- Ensure concise and detailed reporting to customer as well as between superiors and peers. Includes international teams and corresponding communication logistics
- Job location is in Singapore with some travel to be potentially required
- Help with in-house lab/workshop installations and ensure health of lab facilities as needed
Skills and experience
- 7+ years (Senior) experience as an equipment engineer or semiconductor technician for semiconductor or related industries with clear understanding of general clean room and general fab safety protocols
- Experience managing a team or other people is a plus but not required to apply
- Being business minded is also a major plus
- Ability to interface with customers and represent the company in the best way possible
- Product support in Engineering Development or Field Service
- Ability to learn and service troubleshooting electrical/electronic/mechanical applications and overall equipment problems
- EHS, Safety skills needed. HVAC certification is a plus
- Must possess strong communication skills. English is a must, Japanese or Chinese would be a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and machine program applications
