Objective

  • Prepare and execute laboratory trials relating to Applied Mineral Development in the areas of additives (dispersants, grinding aids, surface treatment, blends, morphology modification, etc.)
  • Manage raw materials and finished formulations (warehouse, sending and receiving), maintenance and set-up, calibration etc., for testing and production equipment in the laboratory.
  • Support technical service and new development projects through evaluation of relevant samples.
  • Contribute to development projects for minerals and adjacent technologies including testing protocols, manufacturing methods and evaluation in various applications

Responsibilities

  • Independently execute trials (formulation, process, sample preparation and testing).
  • Ensure the laboratory equipment are ready for use (maintenance, cleaning, materials).
  • Ensure the integrity and appropriateness of laboratory results and recommendations, prior to releasing any project reports.
  • Create and maintain good relationships with machinery and raw materials suppliers.
  • Propose improvements (for the laboratory or specific projects).
  • Ensure safe, efficient and reliable operation of equipment and laboratory space to be always in alignment with corporate policies and local regulations.
  • Adhere to business processes to be aligned with the Group, Segment and Regional Management.
  • Maintain high standards in safety, housekeeping and workplace environment.
  • Support Technical Services projects in AMD, as requested by internal business partners (through Sales & Marketing, Production or other regions)
  • Support and actively participate in Development and Innovation projects as per AMD team requirements or set targets.
