Assistant Manager, Automobile Terminal Operations (Maritime Port Operations)

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the automobile terminal, ensuring the effective handling, storage, and movement of vehicles from arrival to dispatch.
• Coordinate with shipping lines, customs, truckers, and terminal operators to ensure timely and efficient transportation of automobiles to and from the port.
• Maintain accurate records of vehicle inventory, monitor storage spaces, and ensure vehicles are stored in an organized manner for easy retrieval.
• Ensure all terminal operations comply with port safety standards, environmental regulations, and international shipping protocols specific to automobile handling.
• Supervise, train, and mentor terminal staff, including forklift operators, security personnel, and stevedores, ensuring optimal performance and high safety standards.
• Serve as the main point of contact for automobile manufacturers, importers, and clients, addressing any concerns or queries and ensuring that customer service standards are met.
• Implement process improvements to optimize terminal operations, reduce turnaround time for vehicles, and minimize congestion within the terminal area.
• Oversee vehicle inspection processes upon arrival and departure, ensuring that damage is reported and addressed promptly, and that proper documentation is maintained.
• Generate regular reports on terminal operations, vehicle movements, and inventory status. Ensure proper documentation for vehicle deliveries, customs clearance, and storage.
• Monitor terminal performance, analyze operational data, and work on strategies to improve key performance indicators (KPIs), such as vehicle throughput, turnaround time, and storage efficiency

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor degree in any discipline
• At least 3 to 5 years of experience in Automobile terminals or similar capacity
