Responsibilities
- Conduct regular site inspection
- Conduct briefing to works on safety regulations
- To implement effective safety management systems
- Coordinate with sub contractors and to resolve all matters on safety
- Ensure and assist with the job safety analysis and safe work procedure
- Provide supervision and ensure site workers abide by the safety regulation
- Coordinate on-site inspections to audit physical conditions and safe work practices
- Train and support personnel on safety projects and resources
- Assist to conduct risk assessment and implementation of risk control measure at work place
- Ensure proper documentation for all safety, environmental and health disciplines
- Ensure compliance of operations with Workplace Safety and Health/Environmental Control regulations and statutory requirements
- Follow up with the committee site walk inspection findings for WSH Officer to close up the report and assisting WSH Officer on incident/accident investigation.
- Responsible for daily checklists are properly documented and carry out mass toolbox meeting/workshop once a week.
- Coordination with relevant site in-charge on improving the worksite safety and cleanliness.
- Ensure supervisor and workers are following safe work procedures compliance.
- Assist WSHO to organize monthly Safety Committee meetings and put up safety reports, including safety issues
- Compiles all relevant reports and records and carry out daily safety inspection
- Submit of reports and other related documents to WSHO
- Supervise all workers in providing safety measures and procedures in accordance with MOM Regulations
- Other ad-hoc duties as assigned by WSHO
Requirements
- At least 2 years of experience as a Safety Coordinator or similar role
- With Class 2B or Class 3 driving license
- Possess a Certificate in Safety Coordinators Course from approved institutes
- Possess WAH relevant certificates, Confined space assessor, BCSS & PSM from SP Group
- Min. 2 years post relevant experience in Building and Construction Industry
- Proactive with excellent interpersonal skills and analytical ability
- Ability to work under pressures in a fast pace environment
- Must possess pipe laying and/or fibre laying experience
- Basic MS skill required (MS Excel, PPT & words)
- Outstanding organizational skills
- Critical thinker and problem-solving skills
- Team player
- Good time-management skills
- Great interpersonal and communication skills
