Shipping Officer

Position Summary
As a Shipping Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring smooth logistics and timely deliveries, managing the full set of import/export shipping documents. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to seamless shipping operations, working closely with international teams, including our factory in Indonesia, sales, and warehouse. You will be at the forefront of coordinating shipment arrangements, verifying documentation accuracy, and facilitating efficient processes within a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Handling the full set of import/export shipping documents independently, ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Coordinating daily job arrangements, ensuring shipments are dispatched in a timely and accurate manner.
- Following up with forwarders to confirm booking arrangements, track progress, and ensure on-time delivery of shipments.
- Monitoring shipping documentation, including invoices, packing lists, and other necessary paperwork, to ensure accuracy and completeness.
- Collaborating closely with the factory in Indonesia to organise and plan shipments, ensuring production schedules align with shipping timelines.
- Working alongside the Sales and Warehouse teams to facilitate seamless shipment arrangements and resolve any issues that arise.
- Performing administrative tasks such as printing, filing, and maintaining shipping documentation for records and compliance purposes.
- Managing customs clearance procedures and liaising with customs authorities to resolve any issues that may arise.
Requirements
- Minimum Diploma with at least 1 year of experience in the Electronics Import/Export Shipping field.
- Proficient in MS Word and Excel, with strong skills in creating and managing reports.
- Experience with ERP systems for tracking and processing shipments.
- Strong knowledge of handling full sets of import/export shipping documents, as well as bank-related documents.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills; fluency in Chinese is a plus for effective interaction with Chinese-speaking stakeholders.
- Highly organised with a keen eye for detail, ensuring accuracy and efficiency in all tasks.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Strong interpersonal skills that foster positive relationships with team members and across departments.
- Candidates must meet legal requirements to work in Singapore without sponsorship.
