Hub Strategy is responsible for developing and executing strategies to strengthen Singapore’s value propositions as a business hub by (i) attracting headquarters of MNCs, (ii) facilitating international organisations (IOs) that support industry development across government and (iii) enhancing connectivity.
You will be part of the team that focuses on headquarters, with some work related to international organisations. This includes activities such as industry studies, statistical analysis, programme development and execution, and engaging with public and private sector stakeholders.

About Hub Strategy
Hub Strategy is responsible for developing and executing strategies to strengthen Singapore’s value propositions as a business hub by (i) attracting headquarters of MNCs, (ii) facilitating international organisations (IOs) that support industry development across government and (iii) enhancing connectivity.
You will be part of the team that focuses on headquarters, with some work related to international organisations. This includes activities such as industry studies, statistical analysis, programme development and execution, and engaging with public and private sector stakeholders.

In This Role, You Will
- Sense: You will conduct in-depth analysis of global trends, including in areas like technology, business models, regulations, and talent development, to derive insights and implications for Singapore’s hub development strategies. This will require analysis of quantitative and qualitative data such as from meetings, commissioned studies, and economic and employment data.
- Develop: You will design and develop value propositions and initiatives to encourage HQ investments in Singapore and support long-term local industry development, including by working closely with other teams in EDB and partners in government and industry.
- Execute: You will implement strategies, policy changes and initiatives by working closely with internal stakeholders as well as industry and government agency partners.
[What we are looking for]
- At least 3 years of relevant work experience in a strategy, consulting, policy, research or industry development role
- Excellent analytical and conceptual thinking - able to think big picture, analyse and communicate complex / ambiguous issues clearly and simply, use qualitative and quantitative data, and recommend actionable solutions
- Keen business acumen – able to identify opportunities for Singapore at an industry level
- Excellent project management and leadership skills – able to lead cross-functional projects, manage multiple workstreams, and deliver outcomes effectively and efficiently.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills – able to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders at all levels of seniority
- Adaptable – able to identify and respond quickly to changes in the business environment and changes in priorities.
- Organised – able to establish and run processes and workflows for projects in a structured manner.
- Good team player and an independent thinker
- Candidates with any of the following will have an advantage:
- Experience in quantitative analysis
- Experience in strategy development and execution
