ABOUT THE POSITION:

We are seeking a Wine Data & Pricing Analyst to join our team. This role is ideal for someone highly analytical, detail-oriented, and passionate about the wine industry. You will play a crucial role in managing data-driven insights, optimizing pricing strategies, and monitoring market trends to enhance our stock valuation and distribution strategy.

Reporting directly to the Head of Stock, Offers & Distribution, this role will initially encompass, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities.

MAIN FIELD OF RESPONSIBLITIES:

Data & Reporting

· Develop and implement new reporting tools, leveraging your knowledge of Power BI to enhance our analytics.

· Analyse stock levels, pricing trends, and sales performance to provide strategic insights.

· Assist in designing and optimizing data visualization and reporting frameworks.

· Assist in the migration to our new ERP, ensuring accurate data integration and reporting functionality.

Pricing & Market Analysis

· Conduct competitive market research to ensure our wine pricing remains strategic and competitive.

· Track global wine market trends, including auction results, critic scores, and demand shifts.

· Support stock valuation efforts.

Stock Animation & Distribution Strategy

· Identify opportunities to optimize stock movement, ensuring a dynamic and efficient inventory.

· Work closely with the sales team to promote specific wines, supporting commercial strategies.

· Assist in forecasting demand and identifying opportunities for stock acquisition or liquidation.

Qualifications:

· Background in finance, data analysis, or business intelligence, ideally within the fine wine industry.

· Knowledge of wine pricing, valuation, and global market trends.

· Proficiency in Excel is mandatory. VBA, SQL, or other analytical tools is a plus.

· Analytical skills with experience in data visualization tools, preferably Power BI.

· Experience or interest in ERP migration and data integration is a plus.

· Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
