Key Responsibilities:

· Guide the care programme coordinators to care for the well-being and safety of elderly clients in the Senior Care Centre

· Coordinate the planning and conducting of structured and interactive programme activities for the elderly clients

· Assist in serving pre-packed medication

· Assist in client health monitoring and assessment

· Aid in meal preparation and serving

· Update and assist in the implementation and monitoring of the Initiate Care Plan (ICP)

· Provide dysphagia care and EatSafe protocol

· Support clients in distress including persons living with dementia

· Assist in the Modified Barthel Index (MBI) assessment

· Perform basic Activities of Daily Living (ADL)

· Assist with Passive Range of Motion exercises (PROM)

· Perform escort duties and build rapport with clients and their family members

· Assist in cleaning and disinfecting tasks

· Participate in and support centre events

Job Holder Requirements:

· Advanced/Higher/Certificate in Community & Social Service [Senior Care Services] and good “O” level [minimum 3 credits] or WSQ Higher Certificate in Healthcare Support [Nursing care]

· Competency in eldercare service with at least 3 years working experience in an eldercare institution

· Good communication and interpersonal skills

· Possess a passionate disposition to care for elderly clients

· Be able to engage comfortably with elderly clients

· Be able to prepare and conduct care programmes for seniors; e.g. daily news chats/cooking therapy/art & craft/singing sessions/dancing, reminiscence therapy; etc.
